Jenkins On Your Desktop: Washington Post on ProQuest Congressional

ProQuest Congressional now has the Washington Post back to 1997. Coverage includes all major sections: Main, Metro, Style, and Sports. The Washington Post focuses on news in the Washington, D.C. area and reports on the daily undertakings of Congress and the White House.

To access the Washington Post on ProQuest Congressional, use your last name and member number to log into Jenkins' website. From either the Member Center or the list of Member Databases, select ProQuest Congressional. Once in ProQuest, select "Political News" from the left-hand "Search Types" menu. A search in "Political News" will search the Washington Post (1997-present), Roll Call newspaper (1998-present), and CQ Political Transcripts (1997-present).

Search results can be limited to just the Washington Post after the search has been conducted. From the search results page, use the facets on the right side of the screen to narrow the results to only the Washington Post. These facets can also be used to filter the results by date and sort the results by date.
