Visitor Information
Jenkins librarians cannot give legal advice, interpret legal materials, select or fill out forms, write briefs or memoranda, or conduct any research for you.
Legal research can be very difficult, even for someone who knows the law. We recommend that you contact a lawyer for representation or legal advice. For more information, click on the "Free or Low-cost Legal Services and Resources in Philadelphia" brochure on this page.
Members of the public are welcome to use Jenkins for the day for a $5 fee. Research computer time for daily users is limited to 2 hours per day. Photocopying ($.10/page) and printing from the Word Processing stations ($.10/page) are available. Printouts from the Research computers are $.10/page.
Not all situations require you to perform your own research. Jenkins has form packets for purchase from our front desk. For a list, click on the "Start Your Legal Research at Jenkins Law Library" brochure on this page.
Our building requires visitors to show a valid government-issued photo ID.
Note: Licensed attorneys or paralegals (or other support staff) working for an attorney or law firm cannot use Jenkins for the day.
