Finding Cases in PA Side Reports on LLMC Digital

  •

Many counties in Pennsylvania publish their own reporters -- also called "Side Reports" -- which contain select trial court opinions for that county.

LLMC Digital, a remotely accessible database available to all Jenkins members, has a collection of Pennsylvania Side Reports that includes PDF scans of county reporters from more than 40 individual counties. Coverage for most county reporters begins with the first volume of the reporter.

If you have a citation to a county reporter, you can browse through the database to find and print the trial level decision.

See below for the steps to find the citation: 77 Bucks Co. L. Rep. 504 via LLMC (this assumes you are already logged into your Jenkins account):

To print an opinion, you will need to know the "Image Number" (located above the case) that corresponds to the first and last page of the decision. Scroll through the case to identify your first and last Image Numbers. In this case, they are 515 and 522, respectively.

Next, click the "Download" icon located above the case.

In the pop-up window, select the beginning (515) and ending (522) Image Numbers from the drop down options, then click "Download".

The case should open as a PDF document that you can then save or print.

For older county decisions, LLMC Digital has some additional opinions is its Pennsylvania, Judicial collection, which contains the Philadelphia Reports (1850-91), Pennsylvania County Court Reports (1886-1921), Pennsylvania District Court Reports (1892-1921), and Pennsylvania District & County Reports First Series (1922-23).
