Out of the Darkness (Slowly)

  •

As Philly, along with the rest of the country, begins to open back up, we're happy that the physical effects of COVID are receding. But the emotional effects will remain, possibly for a long time. To help, we've begun scheduling free mental health CLE webinars. We're holding two this summer:

Both of these will be presented by Brian S. Quinn, Esq., the Education and Outreach Coordinator for Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers of Pennsylvania, Inc., a Lawyers Assistance Program established in 1988 for the purpose of helping lawyers, judges and law students recover from alcoholism, drug addiction and mental health disorders.

Another one of our speakers, David A. Huber, Esq. (who will be presenting Debt Collection Governance in the U.S. and in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, August 10 at 2:00 pm) recently let me know that he is the point person for the Out of the Darkness Greater Philadelphia Walk, which is scheduled for Sunday, October 3 at 9:00 am at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The event is sponsored by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a voluntary health organization established in 1987 that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.
