Restatement of the Law of Liability Insurance Available Now

The American Law Institute (ALI) recently published their newest Restatement of the Law: Liability Insurance. Jenkins has access to this title in print, on the member database HeinOnline, and on the library's Westlaw computers.

This Restatement defines liability insurance as "insurance that exclusively or primarily covers risks related to the liability of an insured to third parties, including the liability-insurance-coverage part of an insurance policy that includes other forms of coverage." Restatement of Liability Insurance § 1 (Am. Law Inst. 2019). Chapters include "Basic Liability Insurance Contract Rules", "Management of Potentially Insured Liability Claims", "General Principles Regarding the Risks Insured", and "Enforceability and Remedies".
