Jenkins' Research Tip: Finding Pennsylvania Ethics Opinions Online
There are very few free online sources for Pennsylvania Ethics Opinions online.
Both Philadelphia and Allegheny counties publish their ethics opinions on their websites. You can access the Philadelphia Bar Association's Ethics Opinions, 1987 to present, at http://www.philadelphiabar.org/page/EthicsOpinions?appNum=2, and the Allegheny County Bar Association's Professional Ethics Committee Opinions, 2001 to 2007, at http://www.acba.org/Ethics-Openion.
The Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) will only release Pennsylvania Ethics Opinions to PBA members. PBA members can access ethics opinions at http://www.pabar.org/login.asp?topage=/LaunchEthics.asp?.
Jenkins has a collection of Pennsylvania ethics opinions in print and select opinions are also available on Lexis and WestlawNext. For a complete list of Pennsylvania ethics sources available at Jenkins, please see the PA Opinions tab of our Legal Ethics & Professional Responsibility Resource Guide.
