AAA Awards Available on Lexis

  •

The American Arbitration Association (AAA) is a not-for-profit organization providing alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services across the world. According to its 2020 Annual Report, AAA has administered six million cases since its founding in 1926.

Arbitration awards can be useful tools during the legal research process, but they can be difficult to find. Lexis, available in the library, includes select AAA Consumer, Employment, and Labor Arbitration Awards.

AAA Consumer Arbitration Awards begin with 2014 and cover disagreements between consumers and businesses where the business has a standardized, systematic application of arbitration clauses with customers. AAA Employment Arbitration Awards begin with 1999 and include a host of disputes arising in the workplace. And AAA Labor Arbitration Awards begin with 2003 and include labor disputes from a number of industries, including Education; Food Service; Health Care; Law Enforcement; Manufacturing; Media; Retail; Sports & Entertainment; Federal, State, and Local Government; Transportation; and Utilities.

From the main search box in Lexis, type AAA Awards to find the three files. Clicking on a file name will bring you to its advanced search page. Clicking the i will bring up the file's Source Information. And clicking on the magnifying glass will allow you to add multiple files to your search.
