Finding Verdicts & Settlements
Jury verdicts and settlement awards can be important tools in the legal research process. Because they are not published in court reporters, legal researchers must employ other means to find verdicts and settlements.
Researchers at Jenkins can use the library's Westlaw computers to find verdicts and settlements. The Jury Verdicts & Settlements file includes summaries of jury verdicts, judgments, settlements, and arbitration awards from federal and state proceedings.
Award amount restrictions can be selected by filtering the search results. Please note that select results may be unavailable due to licensing restrictions.
Jenkins continues to collect a number of verdict and settlement publications in print, including Pennsylvania Damages: Personal Injury Verdicts and Settlements, Pennsylvania Jury Verdict Review and Analysis, New Jersey Jury Verdict Review and Analysis, Medical Malpractice Verdicts, Settlements & Experts, and Verdicts, Settlements & Tactics: A Personal Injury Litigation Reporter.
Take a look at our Verdicts & Settlements research guide for details about these resources.
