Access American Bar Association Journals From Your Home or Office

  •

Working remotely and looking for an article from an American Bar Association journal? Jenkins has two membership databases that can help.

LegalTrac provides indexing and full text coverage for over 70 American Bar Association publications. Many of the titles have current full text coverage with only a two week delay from the publisher. Publications with current full text coverage include ABA Journal (May 1, 2007 - current), Business Lawyer (November 1, 1991 - current), Criminal Justice (January 1, 2008 - current), and TYL (January 1, 2014 - current).

There are several ways to access the articles and titles in LegalTrac. To find a specific ABA title, use the “Publication Search” option. To search within all ABA titles using keywords, choose the “Advanced Search.” Enter your keywords in the first row, and in the second search box enter “American Bar Association.” Be sure to change the drop down menu to search for “Publisher Name.”

HeinOnline, a resource available to most Jenkins’ members, also has a large collection of American Bar Association journals. The HeinOnline ABA Law Library Collection Periodicals database contains over 200 titles, along with 44 periodicals previously only available to ABA section members. Hein has thorough coverage of titles. For several titles, full text coverage is from volume one to current.

Once in the ABA Law Library Collection Periodicals database, you can browse the titles or search within the collection.

Due to the current pandemic, our reference staff is working remotely with reduced hours. We remain ready to help with your research requests. You can reach us by emailing research@jenkinslaw.org or by leaving a voicemail at 215-574-1505. We will be monitoring these during our reduced hours, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
