Jenkins On Your Desktop: Native American Collection on LLMC Digital
November is celebrated as Native American Heritage Month, in which we recognize the contributions the first Americans made to the growth and development of the United States. Jenkins' members can explore Native American history and culture with LLMC Digital's Native American Collection.
This collection provides access to Native American documents dating back to the 1800s. Materials include constitutions for over 100 tribes, including the Cherokee Nation, the Hualapai Tribe, the Omaha Tribe of Nebraska, the Quartz Valley Indian Community, and the Yavapai-Apache Indian Community. Legislation for the Cherokee Nation, Chickasaw Nation, Choctaw Nation, and Muscogee (Creek) Nation is also available.
To access this collection, use your last name and member number to log into Jenkins' website. From the Member Center, select LLMC Digital. Once in LLMC, use the "Browse Collections" option to navigate through all of LLMC's collections. Navigate by clicking the plus signs next to "Special Focus Collection" then "Native American Collection".
Clicking on the title of the document will bring back all the available volumes of that title. Each volume can be viewed and downloaded as a PDF image. You can also search one title or multiple titles by checking the box next to the titles you'd like to search then using the search boxes at the bottom of the screen. For additional instructions, see LLMC Digital's Browse Collections Help.
