Jenkins On Your Desktop: Pennsylvania Session Laws on HeinOnline

HeinOnline has Pennsylvania Session Laws going back to 1700 and continuing to the most recently available bound volume of the Laws of the General Assembly (2010). Pennsylvania Session Laws, also known as P.L.s or Pamphlet Laws, are the acts passed by the state legislature and signed into law by the governor.

To access the session laws, use your last name and member number to log into Jenkins' website. From either the Member Center or the list of Member Databases, select HeinOnline. Once in Hein, from the Subscribed Libraries list on the left-hand side, select Session Laws Library.

Hein automatically defaults to a browse option of all 50 states listed alphabetically. To browse Pennsylvania Session Laws, scroll down the list and click the plus sign next to Pennsylvania. If you know the year and P.L. number you are looking for, enter that information into the search box above the list of compiled years. Tip: the P.L. number, or Pamphlet Law number, is the page number the act starts on.

To search all Pennsylvania Session Laws, click the "Search this title" link located above the list of compiled years. This search will automatically search all Pennsylvania Session Laws going back to 1700. To find a more recent act, use the date restriction field.
