Trademark 101: How to Avoid Careless Disasters

The general-practice attorney should be thoroughly disabused of the notion that securing a registered trademark is simply a matter of filling out forms and hoping for the best. Despite the recent electronic streamlining of the trademark application process, there remains significant liability lurking in any half-done trademark application file. This 1.0 hour CLE will introduce the general practitioner to the basics of the trademark application process and assist in the identification and prevention of the major causes of malpractice in this narrow specialty.
