Jenkins is thrilled to announce the addition of Trellis Law to our growing list of remotely accessible* databases! Trellis focuses on collecting state trial court data and documents while also offering tools that provide detailed analytics.

Trellis currently has material from 41 different states, equating to a library made up of 110+ million searchable documents. For Pennsylvania specifically, Trellis currently collects docket information from all 67 PA counties along with court filings from the following counties: Philadelphia, Butler, Delaware, Lancaster, and York.

You can start your search by simply navigating to the main SmartSearch bar and either inputting key terms or conducting a boolean search (with the option of an advanced search template), or you can directly click onto Trellis' additional tabs at the top of the screen to delve into a more specific area -- Verdicts, Analytics, Motions & Issues, or State Rules.

Some useful features available through Jenkins' subscription to Trellis include Case Update, Motion & Issue Library, Judge Analytics, and a Verdict search.

Case Update: Get case updates in real time. Within the details of a case, select 'Update Case Information Now'.  Please Note, due to the library's subscription, updates are loaded within 10 minutes without an email notification.

Motion & Issue Library: Created and reviewed by human editors every 6 month, this library offers state specific explanations on motion types and legal issues in civil litigation. Connects motion type/legal issue with relevant dockets and/or filings (if applicable).

Judge Analytics: Offers in-depth judicial profiles and comprehensive analytics, including motion grant rates and timing expectations for case milestones. Useful for insight on a judge's judicial approach and perspective. Regularly updated.

Verdict Search: A tool to search for verdicts with either a keyword or boolean operated search with the option to narrow to location, verdict type, practice area, type of injury, case type, award amount, date, and party.

Trellis is available both remotely* and at the library for research.

Note: Trellis' default jurisdiction is VA. You can switch the Jurisdiction by clicking on 'VA' to the right of the SmartSearch tool bar.
